There is no greater gift than waking up and feeling healthy in your body—to have the energy and enthusiasm to live in joy and love while pursuing your dreams and the life you desire. But what happens when you feel sick—physically, emotionally, or spiritually? How do you heal?
Ask and you shall receive. I am honored to devote this month’s Q&A to this question and help you embrace your own Power to Heal. I hope you will join me for the sake of your healthy mind, body, and soul. After all, you deserve to be well!
We will begin our healing journey by recognizing the obvious: We are all made of skin and bones, and our bodies will eventually fail, at which point our beautiful spirits will soar back to where they came from. If you’re living a spiritual life, this should be a joyous and liberating thought that allows you to search for the deeper part of who you are.
That said, we must learn to honor and care for our bodies, which are the temples that house our spirits and bring love and service to our families, friends, and community. Moreover, our bodies are also wise teachers who help us become conscious and awake.
As the poet Rumi said, “The wound is where the light gets in.” And by wound, he means illness, disease, sorrow, pain, hurt, and loss. It’s all the same. And it’s all God’s way of saying pay attention—there’s an imbalance in your life and something you need to look at to evolve. Ho’oponopono teaches us that we begin by letting go and surrendering (do not confuse with giving up). Of course, this does not mean we do nothing. Ho’oponopono also asks us to take responsibility for everything that comes into our lives. Are you thinking poorly? Listening to old memories in your head? Giving too much power to your illness (or challenges)? To become healthy, we must become expert listeners to what the universe and our bodies are telling us. And once we do, we must learn to implement lifestyle and thought changes that will restore us to health.
And, of course, I understand how it’s often difficult for you to figure out what exactly Spirit is trying to tell you or where your imbalance might be coming from.
Fortunately, the solution is simple. You ask for help, and then you listen. Now, you might not get the immediate answer you want, but you will always discover what your next step should be in restoring your life to health and peace of mind.
And trust me, once you see this healing process in action, your life will never be the same.
Yes, Ask, and you shall receive. And you can start with this month’s Q&A!
