Welcome to 2022, my friend,
As we begin this new year, I have no doubt that you are creating new dreams in your heart. I wish you find the peace of mind to bring those beautiful dreams to life. The world needs you. However, I am also guessing that you have been left exhausted by the last two years and are now nervous and fearful of what will come next. Perhaps your nerves are raw. Maybe you’re even afraid to take the next step in your journey.
While understandable, I believe we must finally let go of our nervousness and fear about the world around us. If we do not control our fears and emotions, they will backfire and control us—preventing us from moving toward the lives we were meant to live while also robbing us of the joy we deserve. Of course, the choice is always ours—we can run from our fears, pretend they don’t exist, or even face them with resentment. Or we could choose a much easier way (there’s always an easier way).
This easy way requires a shift in perspective and an opening of the heart. It also calls for us to adopt a Calm under Fire mentality, which, as you will learn in this month’s special Q&A, will help you turn your nervousness and fear into an opportunity to live your best life.
The fact is, as long as we have a physical body, there will always be challenges. The question is: how we will handle them. We can stay anxious and fearful the rest of our lives (you know there will always be something to be nervous about), or we can learn to handle our challenges with courage, awareness, and grace. Ernest Hemingway called it “grace under fire,” which means that no matter the challenge or circumstances, we can remain focused on the task at hand (the present moment). Grace under fire means we are not swayed into knee-jerk reactions, emotional outbursts, or even anger. We are in control of our lives, including our nerves.
Of course, on a much deeper level, grace under fire (or pressure) is a spiritual approach to our earthly challenges—a beautiful path of living where we no longer need to control the everyday outcomes of life. Once and for all, we can see our challenges through the eyes of Soul, thus allowing our physical world to be imperfectly perfect—a cosmic classroom where we can learn to surrender to a higher power while discovering who we are. And when we do this with love and gratitude, eventually, we will learn that our challenges (fears, nerves, and anxiousness) are the exact things that will allow us to become awake, happy and free.
Join me for this special Q&A, and let me help you turn your everyday nervousness into an opportunity to live your best life!
