There is a very close relationship between Ho’oponopono and anxiety, that many people do not end up seeing or understanding. This relationship derives from the fundamental fact that anxiety is nothing more than a fear or very intense concern in daily life situations, becoming a psychological evil that can lead to health problems. Ho’oponopono consists of a series of techniques that seek the reconciliation of our inner being with the exterior, starting from forgiveness and the transmutation of those emotions. In other words, and by definition, Ho’oponopono can counteract anxiety!

Although Ho’oponopono can be used to solve different types of problems that affect a person’s life, the truth is that anxiety is one of the first factors in which Ho’oponopono focuses to solve, since it takes you out of that fear or worry of the future and returns you to the present moment.  Ho’oponopono can work on anxiety, so pay attention to what you are about to read.

How to use Ho'oponopono against anxiety

Ho’oponopono is this Hawaiian art and is practiced since very ancient times, being mainly used as a problem-solving technique.  By letting go using certain phrases, you can reprogram the mind so that you can overcome what we consider a problem (in this case anxiety).

It is not uncommon to come across different words or phrases that promote the transmutation of anxiety, and you have to find the ones that resonate with you moment by moment. The idea is to let go and allow a part of you that knows you better than anyone else, to transmute those memories that are in your subconscious mind and manifest as an attack of anxiety or worry.

Some ideas of how you can use it as a way to stop them, let go, and return to the present moment:

Light switch:

This is a phrase from Ho’oponopono that puts the brakes on your negative thoughts or emotions, igniting a light within you (metaphorically speaking) to problems (darkness). No matter what Ho’oponopono tool we use, it is always equivalent to turning on the light. And no matter who turns it on, it lights up for everyone.

Let go and Trust:

One of my favorites and the favorites of many of my students around the world. When you are anxious, just begin to mentally repeat “let go and trust.” You’re handing that anxiety over to Divinity, and you’re allowing it to erase those memories in your subconscious mind that are causing that anxiety. Your goal? Be at peace even if the anxiety is there, and not give control to anxiety.  You are not that anxious, do not identify with it.

The Peace of I:

Last trigger word to treat anxiety with Ho’oponopono that will allow you to eliminate from your mind those beliefs that do not give you any kind of tranquility. A way to cut the cords with anxiety.

Of course we can always turn to the famous words “thank you” or “I love you”.

Very important it’s to always do it to be at peace, no matter what is going on around, and always have patience and no expectations. Remember, everything is perfect and correct.
