Hello, I’m Mabel Katz, and I love my life. I love my business, and I love who I am; but it has not always been that way.
When my oldest son was 13, he spoke to me with that same anger and resentment I had harbored my entire life. Seeing the patterns emerge in my son frightened me. In that moment, I decided to do something – anything – different. I went to anger management classes, teacher groups, and metaphysical groups even though I knew nothing about metaphysics. I did not talk to God—I did not believe in God. I believed only what I could see and touch.
I always knew that when the student is ready, the teacher appears—actually, many teachers—and even more, I knew there had to be an easier and faster way than a lifetime of pain and suffering.
In 1997 I met Dr. Ihaleakalá Hew Len, the world-renowned psychiatrist known for healing an entire psychiatric ward without ever having seen the patients. Dr. Hew Len practiced the ancient art of Ho’oponopono, which teaches that only you exist and that you are responsible for your own creations.
Some people travel the world to discover who they are and to align with their purpose, but I began to understand that there are no gurus. I was my own guru. There was no one outside me. All the answers were inside.
I felt at home for the first time in my life.
It felt like home. I knew this simple, ancient healing art was what I had been looking for my entire life.
If I created it, I could change it. I could be happy, and I didn’t have to worry about anything. I felt free. Responsibility did not mean I should feel guilty or make myself wrong or even that I had to do anything at all.
I lived and studied with Dr. Hew Len for 12 years, practicing Ho’oponopono 24 hours a day, taking responsibility and cleaning.
For the first time in my life, I gave myself permission to be who I really am…not the savvy, angry businesswoman, but the real me…the rich, raw, human one I had tucked away deep inside. I gave myself permission to create miracles in my life and in the lives of my children and my clients.
I travelled the world speaking and training. Soon, I had completely given up my accounting practice and my entire way of life to share my story about a little-known practice I thought could heal the world.
Using the principles of Ho’oponopono, I have helped 1000s of people all over the world to reclaim their power in business, relationships, love, health, and wealth… all areas of life. I have shared the principles before the United Nations, and I am planning a peace conference in the Middle East with leaders from around the world.
