“Get out of your head and get into your heart. Think less, feel more.”
Osho
We have a new pandemic in the world. And it’s not a virus either. It’s stress. The fact is, nearly 2 in 3 adults say the current amount of uncertainty in the world causes them stress. Medically speaking, stress actually causes chemical changes in the body that can raise blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar levels. It may also lead to insomnia, lack of concentration, frustration, anxiety, anger, or depression. And the worst part is (whether we recognize it or not), stress separates us from truth and God. It also robs us of joy.
But as the Osho quote above suggests, the truth is, most of our stress lives and grows entirely in our minds. We are the ones who turn life’s events into stressful moments that eventually become a struggle.
Now, our choice today is simple. We can sweep our stress under the rug and pretend it doesn’t exist or, even worse, blindly accept it as part of living in this physical world. Of course, either choice will only lead to unnecessary suffering. Alternatively, we can look our stress square in the eye, and with gentleness and self-love, let it go and give it to God. More than that, we can transform our stress into a pathway that will lead to more awareness, peace, and joy.
My friends, if you are living with any stress in your life, I encourage you to take a deep breath, open your heart, and allow me to show you how letting go of stress is not only possible but also the only way to live a truly conscious and happy life.

First of all, we must recognize that change, uncertainty, and chaos (that which causes most of our stress) are part of the spiritual nature of this world. It will never go away. However, we can learn to adapt and surrender to this change. We can also learn how to get out of our minds and stop creating and inventing more drama (stress) that doesn’t exist. Most importantly, we can learn to see the challenges we face as not something here to punish us or make us miserable, but rather as an opportunity to become more aware. To paraphrase the great spiritual teacher, Osho, “Our modern fast-paced and stressful world is the perfect challenge to grow our consciousness.” In other words, we can use what stresses us as an opportunity to discover how to live. How to surrender. How to love.
And the truth is, we don’t eliminate stress as much as we refocus our attention elsewhere. If you want to eat a healthy diet, you can’t spend all your time and energy eliminating bad foods. To be truly healthy, you need to focus on putting good nutrition into your body. Well, the same thing goes with stress. We can’t just eliminate stress.
I believe that letting go of stress is one of the most important things you can do for yourself on your journey to become conscious. Letting go of stress is the ultimate act of awareness and self-love. Letting go of stress is how you discover how powerful you are and how happy you can be.
